Meowshells is a made-to-order clothing brand that you can get dressed with to do nothing (and sometimes something).  We create consciously from start to finish to offer comfortable and dreamy pieces for your days at home. 

Our Story

Hi I’m Michelle, the founder and designer of Meowshells.  As you’re reading this, you are witnessing the beginning of what will hopefully be a long journey of beautiful pieces made just for you.

To go back a few years, I started a swimwear brand that I designed and had manufactured in LA.  In all honesty it never made me feel whole.  I felt a lack of involvement that I desired and an itch to have my hands in the production side of things.  

Although I attended fashion school, those days were long past and I had a lot to re-learn.  I started with trying to sew my own swimwear which was a feat in its own right.  I was unable to keep the quality that I wanted consistent so I put it aside for the time being and started working with woven fabric - something I’m was familiar with.  It began with 3 months of trying to sew boxer shorts (because I thought it would be an easy first project, but man, it took it out of me).

After the interest I received with them I decided to commit to making my own designs from scratch.  Always moving forward, I hope to continue to create pieces that will be loved by you.
